The Central Queensland Family History Association Inc. (CQFHA), was formed on the 21 May 1986, in Rockhampton Queensland Australia, as a non-political, non-sectarian, non-profit making association to accommodate the growing demand for genealogical records for family history research throughout the Central Queensland area.

Redcliffe and District, Queensland
The Redcliffe & District Family History Group is situated on the Redcliffe Peninsula, approximately 30kms north of the city of Brisbane, on Moreton Bay. The Group has been serving the local community since March 1987. The Family History Group Library is housed at the Scout Den, cnr Isobel Street & Maine Road, Clontarf and it is open Tuesday and Thursday mornings 9:30am - 12:30pm.
Toowoomba and Darling Downs Family History Society
The purpose of the society is to provide assistance and facilities for family historians to research their family. The Toowoomba & Darling Downs Family History Society was formed as part of the Genealogical Society of Queensland. In August 1987 the society became a separate entity and was incorporated on 6 April 1988.
