Of the 11 attempts at registering for the genealogy section I just processed, only 1 got through. Congratulations to that person for filling in the whole form. It’s not a big ask, but if you want the information people have gone to a lot of trouble to provide you, then it isn’t all that hard to reciprocate with some of your own. Obvious false information will also result in a deletion of that account. It just happened to two accounts.
The main source for information contained herein is a wonderful publication, “Transported to Paradise” by the late Professor Douglas R. Huxley. It is therefore appropriate that this site is dedicated to his memory.
If you have information that would fill in gaps or contradict existing data, we are happy to look at it, but before any changes are made, proof in the form of certificates or transcripts would be necessary.
Important – Please, if you are going to register, fill in all fields or the application will be automatically deleted.
Also, as you can see, this site is undergoing some radical changes, so things will be missing for a bit. If you have any trouble, let me know and I’ll try and get it fixed asap.
I am working on the Fourth Generation in James’ line at the moment.
There was a quick and emotional flirtation with a photo gallery, but I got over it and have decided that all media will be included in the genealogy section. Less searching for you and less work for me. I hope.
I am also adding a timeline, so that when you click on a person, events that happened during their lifetime will be show up.
